Hello, I am Raihan Sarker, a Graduate Research Assistant in the Functional Polymer & Carbon Nanocomposite Lab at Wonkwang University, South Korea, where I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Advanced Biomaterials.
My research interests lie at the intersection of Thermoelectric Nano Composite with a particular focus on developing functional polymer-based materials for energy and emerging technological applications.
Prior to joining this lab, I worked as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Radiation and Polymer Technology (IRPT), Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC). I obtained my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Textile Engineering from Primeasia University.
My research experience encompasses the fabrication, synthesis, modification, and characterization of advanced polymeric and composite materials, including nanomaterials and fiber-reinforced polymer composites. I have hands-on experience with a range of material characterization and processing techniques, including Universal Testing Machine (UTM), UV–Vis spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), and gamma irradiation. These techniques have been used to investigate material structure, morphology, thermal, mechanical, and functional properties and to enhance material performance for targeted applications.
My current and broader research interests include advanced biomaterials, multi functional nanocomposites, sustainable materials, energy materials. I am particularly interested in designing and characterizing innovative polymer-based materials with tailored properties for biomedical, energy, environmental, and emerging technological applications.
