In college, I was the founder and president of the Douglass Dialogues, a student-based discussion group and speaker series dedicated to informed discussion about pressing social, political, and philosophical issues. I was lucky to be a part of so many fulfilling conversations, and to host speakers such as Noam Chomsky and Martin Hagglund.
