Cell-shading is basically just flat shading seen in usually animations, etc. I do the same exact process and touch it up with lighting and various textures creating a neat and dreamy finished look. A simple and neat look.
It's an easier process compared to the painted style and it's more accessible for me. Visually? More satisfying to look at, IMO, but it's hard to create depth.
Painted Style is a style I'm more familiar with as well as have more experience with various colors. It's easier to give depth and is better for drawings that include a lot of skin, wrinkles via clothes, or hair!
What's the difference from Cell-Shading?
Cell-Shading is more simple and less detailed compared to Painted Style. Painted Style, while a more tedious process, the mix of various shades of colors, it's lovely to stare at.
I quickly sketch whatever you want and I lightly color it! Depending on the product, I either sketch with one color only, or I do all colors. An optional flat background is included :)
This is more easier and quicker to do, as well as a cheaper alternative. The lines may be rough, but sometimes that looks good! Right..?
I sketch, do my signature lineart, then quickly shade with one color only or all colors! An optional flat background is included :)
What's the difference from Sketch w/ Shading?
A more neater finish compared to Sketch W/ Shading, also some things may look more prominent that others. It really depends on opinion, but either are fine.
