Dear parents, guardians, teachers, administrators and support staff:
A lot of exciting changes are happening to make the PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) at Rahway 7 & 8th Grade Academy the absolute best it can be!
On behalf of the Rahway Academy PTO, we would like to welcome back all returning families, teachers, and staff, and extend a very warm welcome to those who are joining us for the first time.
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is an organization made up of parents, guardians, teachers, and administrators who work as partners to enhance the learning environment at Rahway 7th & 8th Grade Academy. We communicate information and act as a liaison between the home, school, and the Rahway Board of Education. We continually work to enhance the programs and reputation of Rahway 7th & 8th Grade Academy and strive to maintain good public relations within our district and community.
Become an active member of the Rahway Academy PTO!
While we all know this year is one like no other, we are confident that our Rahway 7th & 8th Grade Academy community will overcome the times. Our goal this year is to ensure that parents receive important information and have a voice! So get involved, meet new people, ask questions, get information, and become an active member of the Rahway Academy PTO! Studies show that children are more successful when parents are involved in their child's education.
Your participation through attendance at PTO meetings gives you a voice. You help decide what we do as a group. You help decide how the PTO funds should be used. If you are new to Rahway 7th & 8th Grade Academy, the established families will be more than happy to answer questions and ease your transition into becoming a part of our school family.
Through family and FUNdraising activities our objective is to promote positive school/community relationships and support school activities/programs that enhance our children’s educational environment. Some of our goals are:
· Educational resources
· Assistance with trips
· Teacher appreciation
· Field-Day T-Shirts
· 8th Grade send-off gift
We look forward to seeing all that can be and will be accomplished this school year when we come together, as a group and as a community to enhance and maximize the education of every child. Remember “A school is only as good as its PTO!

Dear parents, guardians, Academy teachers and staff,
As the Rahway 7th & 8th Grade Academy PTO Executive Board, we wanted to reach out and extend a warm invitation to all of you to join our PTO family for this school year.
Why join the PTO? With your help, we can make an impact by advocating for our students, teachers and school! Your membership helps support a variety of school activities and programs while creating a fun, engaging, and positive community. By becoming a member, there is no obligation to volunteer or attend meetings. In addition, there's no better way of staying informed than through PTO communications and announcements. The PTO also gives parents, guardians, teachers, and administration the opportunity to connect through meetings, events and communications which help build a sense of community.
Membership looks very different for each of us. Here are some ideas on what it could look like for you:
Join to stay informed through PTO communications and announcements
Volunteer your time at a few events throughout the year
Donate items requested for various events
Participate in one or more fundraisers by making a purchase
Join the board and be a part of the magic
