Rahul Shelar is a Mumbai based filmmaker and freelance editor. He was born and brought up in Mumbai. However, his parents are from Konkan region. He was always torn between these two drastically different worlds. Images of Mumbai, a metropolitan city, and the chaos surrounding it, the so-called development and ongoing constructions in the cities versus the coastal hinterland of Konkan, natural diversity and setback lifestyle were few of the elements or images that have stuck with him for a long time. ‘Kau’ (or ‘Crow’) captures the very essence of this contrast and creates an abstract imagery using audio and visual element. Everyone has to find its meaning in their own. It is even possible that one will not find any meaning in this short film at all!
