JSW Steel is India's largest steel exporter, which claims to ship products to over 100 countries across 5 continents. I was lucky enough to join this majestic firm in 2012, right after graduating. I worked here for a year, which was very crucial time of my life; as it turned a naive, young graduate into a mature, decision maker Junior Manager.

Here, I was given responsibility of optimal planning & execution of preventive maintenance of overhead electric cranes in Steel Melting Shop (SMS), most critical zone of steel plant, where time is said to be measured in terms of money. I spearheaded the task of preventive maintenance in various subzones and gained acumen of resources planning, criticality of time & decision making, breakdown handling simultaneously enhanced my leadership qualities and critical thinking skills.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited owned and founded by the Government of India, is an engineering and manufacturing company. Established in 1964, BHEL is India's largest power generation equipment manufacturer. I did summer Internship in BHEL Haridwar in 2011, right before entering in final year of my graduation, to satiate my desire to know about the manufacturing process of stator winding bars of alternators of huge capacity (500MW).

Panipat Thermal Power Station (PTPS) has a total installed generation capacity of 1360 MW comprising of four Units of 110 MW each , two Units of 210 MW each and two Units of 250 MW each. I went here to capture an early picture of Industrial life, to take a sneak peak into life of Electrical Engineers working in Power Generation Plants.

Here, I observed and learned about various stages of process of power generation, right from raw coal to expulsion of flue gases, by visiting handful of plant facilities viz. Coal Handling Plant, Ash Handling Plant, Cooling towers.
