Introduction

Hello all!

Rahul Kashyap is currently a 28 year old, climate researcher and climate advocate working in the domain of land-atmosphere interactions, particularly vegetation carbon dynamics and terrestrial carbon and water cycle relation in India and global vegetated land based on earth observation, reanalyses and climate projection data. 

He has a background of Integrated M.Tech in Geoinformatics at the Department of Geoinformatics, Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi, India. He has experiences as research intern in  organisations such as Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT G), Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Ranchi, Jharkhand Space Application Centre (JSAC). He has recently defended his PhD as a Prime Minister's Research Fellow (PMRF) at the Centre for Ocean, River, Atmosphere and Land Sciences (CORAL), Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT KGP). Currently, he is working as Research Associate (RA) at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) Pune, India. 

His research interest are in domains of Vegetation Dynamics, Vegetation-Climate Interactions, Land-Atmosphere Interactions, Carbon Dynamics, Food Security, Ecohydrology, Extreme Events, and Climate Change based on geospatial techniques, statistical models and machine learning.
