During my Bachelor's and my Master's, I was fortunate enough to do projects and seminars with some wonderful professors. Here are some of the projects I did.
Supervisor : Dr. Yogeshwaran D
The plan was to give a series of seminars with other students in the broad areas of Probability and Geometric Group Theory. In my seminars I covered Random Walks, Electrical Networks and Kesten's Theorem on amenability.
Supervisor : Dr. B. Rajeev
I undertook this project following the final year of my Bachelor's. In the course of this project, I studied topics such as Convergence of measures on Polish spaces, Martingale convergence theorems and Brownian Motion. Using the results learnt in these areas, I read a proof of Donsker's theorem on Brownian Motion being the scaling limit of random walks. The primary resource was Klenke's 'Probability Theory - A comprehensive course'.
Supervisor : Dr. Balwant Singh
This project was done in the summer after the first year of my Bachelor's. I studied topics in Commutative Algebra such as Tensor Products, Noetherian Rings and Modules, Primary Decomposition, Integral Domains. The primary resources were the book by Atiyah & McDonald and the book Basic Commutative Algebra by Prof. Balwant Singh.
