Dr. Rahul Vaghela is working as Associate professor and Head of IT department in Aditya silver Oak Institute of Technology since February 2023. He has handled various department activities along with many university level portfolio like central exam coordinator, Techfest coordinator and many more.
Dr Rahul has completed his PhD in IT from Parul University and having 15 years of teaching and 3 years of industrial experience. He had filed patent for his PhD work and also availed grant from Govt. of Gujarat. He has published more than 15 research papers and 4 book chapters in International publication like springer and CRC press. His area of interest covers Data Mining, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering , Modelling and Design. He has been awarded by Gujarat technological university for GTU Pedagogical Innovation award and Letter of Appreciation from IIT Bombay for Spoken Tutorial project in the year of 2014.

AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS
Awarded with Gujarat Technological University-Pedagogical Innovation Award because of outstanding contribution in university project of promoting Free & Open source software in collaboration with IIT- Bombay, Spoken Tutorial Project, MHRD, Govt of India.
Awarded with “Letter of Appreciation” from IIT Bombay for the outstanding contribution as NODAL coordinator and college coordinator of Spoken Tutorial project.
Represented many time as a College and university speaker of career counseling for the students intent to decide their career in engineering education. Recently, The Institute deputed to counsel International (NRI) students in Dubai and Abu Dhabi during January-February 2019 via International Education Fair. Giving guidelines for all engineering branches, their projects and various college and university activities for all round development of the students.

Organized various seminars and technical workshops for students like Ethical Hacking, Linux and Networking etc.
Planned more than 100 Industrial visits for all semester students.
Taken 152 final year CE/IT students and 10 faculty members to visit Dell manufactures unit at Chennai and managed to organize ticket reservation, stay, food and also transport in Chennai during the visit.
Has introduced the use of “Moodle”, open source Application for managing online examination and online Feedback.
Guided the Lab staff to create the centralized user Accounts through Active Directory and managed to deploy immediately within the organization.
Assist and motivated the Students and the faculty members to develop IT systems for the smooth operation of the organization.
