RAHUL SINHA (FARE Fellow) completed his Ph.D. (2020-2026) in Geotechnical Engineering from the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, under the guidance of Prof. Arghya Das. His doctoral research focuses on continuum breakage mechanics based plasticity models for granular geomaterials at high confinement pressures.
He holds an M.Tech. degree (2018-2020) in Geotechnical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, where he graduated as the top student in his batch with a stellar GPA of 9.75/10. His master’s research, carried out under the supervision of Prof. Rajib Sarkar, focused on seismic hazard and site response analyses.
Prior to this, he earned his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (2013-2017) from the Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, achieving a commendable GPA of 9.21/10.
