The short version: RahuKaal does not collect, store, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party trackers. Everything the app calculates happens on your device.
None. RahuKaal has no servers of its own and never uploads your data anywhere. We cannot see how you use the app, and we do not build any profile of you.
RahuKaal uses your location for one purpose only: to calculate Rahu Kaal, the Sandhyas, sunrise/sunset, and the Panchang for the place you are in. This calculation runs entirely on your device. Your location is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and it is not stored anywhere outside your phone.
Granting location access is optional. You can instead pick a city by name, or use the app without it.
When you search for a place by name, that search text is sent to Apple’s Maps service to return matching locations — the same way Apple’s own Maps app works. This is handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. RahuKaal keeps no record of what you searched.
If you choose to sync your prayer windows to a calendar, RahuKaal writes those events into a calendar you select, on your device and iCloud (if your calendar syncs to iCloud). This happens only when you ask for it, and the app only ever touches the events it created. Calendar access is optional.
Alarms and reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No information about them leaves your phone.
RahuKaal is suitable for all ages and does not collect data from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
