I am Rahma Nouaji, a second-year Ph.D. student at the School of Computer Science at McGill University and a member of the DISCS Lab, supervised by Prof. Oana Balmau and Dr. Ricardo Macedo from INESC TEC – Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science in Portugal.

I began my journey at McGill as a Master’s student, focusing on data preprocessing in machine learning workloads from a systems perspective. Thanks to my GPA (3.76/ 4.0), I was fast-tracked to the Ph.D. program after one year. I hold a bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary engineering with a focus on signal processing, systems, and machine learning from Tunisia Polytechnic School, the top engineering school in Tunisia.

Research Interests: Systems for ML/ ML for Systems, GPU-CPU Optimization, Data preprocessing, Large Language Models (LLMs)
