Hello my name is Caroline Hempel Ringham.
I am a Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother and Loving Aunty to many. In 1998 I graduated as a Traditional Reiki Master/Teacher and am also a accredited Reiki practitioner. I hold a Diploma in Natural Therapies and I am also a New Zealand Chartered Health Practitioner in Natural Therapies.
I was initiated to all healing and teaching levels of Reiki by the first Maori Reiki Master in Aotearoa (New Zealand), Reiki Master/Teacher Cilla Ruruhira Henry, who was initiated by John Veltheim Reiki Master/Teacher in 1993.
For many years I worked from The Nirvana Clinic of Natural Therapies from my home in Te Awamutu and at Te Awamutu Women's Refuge Centre. I have met and taught a diverse range of people since graduating as a Reiki Master/Teacher and combined this with my Natural Therapies training.
While I am trained and qualified in many modalities of healing, 'hands-on' Reiki healing and teaching is my first love.
In 2005 my husband and I moved to our beach home in Whaingaroa, Raglan. Sadly my dear husband became ill and was diagnosed with Dementia. I gave up my work to take care of him in our home where he passed away in 2018.
After much grieving and healing I now feel that I am able to continue with my Reiki journey working from my home in Raglan as a Reiki Master/Teacher and Practitioner.
I am dedicated to sharing this beautiful gift of Reiki with people of all cultures and backgrounds, so that they can receive the benefits that so many people throughout the world enjoy.
Reiki enables us to take responsibility for ourselves. Practicing, giving and receiving Reiki has the power to change and heal our world.
Reiki is a simple, gentle way of helping ourselves and others.
Learning does not end with the completion of a formal education. Learning is a lifelong experience for those with an appetite for knowledge (M.M. Morrissey).
My commitment to continuing education for myself and my clients and students is on going.
Noho ora mai

Reiki
Reiki is a safe passive 'hands-on' technique which relaxes, restores and rejuvenates the bodies center of energy.
An hour-long Reiki treatment is psychologically equivalent to 4 hours sleep making it one of the most progressive natural stress reduction therapies available in the world today.
The origins of Reiki go back many thousands of years in Tibet. This method of healing and attunement ensures continual well-being and is so simple even the child can learn it.
Rediscovered in the late 1800s by the Japanese scholar Dr Mikao Usui, Reiki is taught in four degrees. Reiki was introduced to the Western world in the late 1970s by Hawayo Takata. Before her death in 1980 Takata had initiated 22 Reiki masters. Today there are thousands of people throughout the world who promote Reiki.
1-hour Reiki Session
I am offering 1-hour Reiki sessions for clients for the cost of $35.
Reiki Is a safe 'hands-on' therapy and promotes the healing process on all levels. You remain fully clothed.
It is safe for everyone, adults, children, babies, the elderly, convalescents.
Discounts for Elders, students and beneficiaries
Reiki is a gift that should be shared with people from all walks of life. To make my services accessible to everyone I offer discounts to Elders, students and beneficiaries. Discounts are negotiated prior to appointments and based on the principle of koha (gifting, donations). Please contact me via email if you would like to discuss this further.
Whakapapa (ancestry)
I descend from a long line of strong Māori women. As mentioned above I am from the iwi (tribe) Ngāti Kuri. This is Aotearoa's most northern iwi. We are a matriarchal people and Maieke was a chieftainess and a founder of Ngāti Kuri. Following on from her leadership, Ngāti Kuri women held many important roles including that of the tohunga (healer, expert, advisor). My grandmother Awaroa Tipene Waitai was a healer in Rongoa (traditional Maori medicine).
I whakapapa to some of most spiritual lands in Aotearoa. With Te Hiku o te Ika (The Far North) is Te Rerenga Wairua (Cape Reinga). Te Rerenga Wairua provides Māori with a direct pathway to Hawaiki (Māori peoples' place of origin) in the after life. Kapowairua (Spirits Bay) is where a Chief asked his people to 'catch his soul' so he could rest his spirit and heal with his people if he died on his journey. These are only two of the many spiritually significant sites in the lands of Ngāti Kuri.
My whakapapa to Ngāti Kuri and our lands runs deeply through my blood, body and soul. It is embedded into everything I do including my Reiki practice and teaching. I share with you now some images of my homelands.
