VIEW FROM THE SHORE ...(excerpts from introduction)
Most everyone was adrift as March 2020 came to a close. Our planet was engulfed in a tidal wave of unknowns due to Covid-19. An invitation to Dr. Joan Borysenko's Gifts of Spiritual Memoir seemed like a lifeline offering sanity and solidity in the midst of a sea of uncertainty. It was at this point that a group of writers from across the country climbed aboard a metaphorical life raft and embarked upon a journey exploring the rivers of our lives that transformed hearts and souls. This collection is the story of our individual transformations—and something more.
...
Our gentle guides on the river, Dr. Joan Borysenko and Dr. Gilah Rosner, provided us with brilliant inspiration, spiritual nourishment, and character-building courage for the trip. We thank them for steadily urging us onward!
...
If we’ve learned anything over the past year, it relates to the power of cooperation and collaboration. As a country and as a planet, our future depends on it. We are truly in this together. Ultimately, this is a call for all hands on deck and an invitation for all hearts to open wide.
Welcome to the river!
