KAN is a groundbreaking augmented reality (AR) initiative launched in 2022, blending cutting-edge technology with cultural heritage to bring ancient Mayan archaeological sites to life. As the project’s principal creator, I led the design and development of its core features, including the conceptualization and visual design of “Kuk,” a central animated character that guides users through immersive historical narratives.
KAN seeks to bridge the gap between modern audiences and ancient civilizations, offering an engaging educational experience. While the initial phase focused on select sites and interactive features, the project is poised for expansion, with plans to enhance its AR capabilities and broaden its reach, ensuring continued growth and innovation.
In this video we present an Augmented Reality DEMO made for a cookie brand in Guatemala. Just by placing the cell phone in front of the packaging, a character appears that speaks, sings and dances to the rhythm of the music.
