Engineering Plans, Design and Specifications Section (EPDSS)

The Engineering Plans, Design and Specifications Section (EPDSS) shall oversee the preparation of regional mechanization and infrastructure plans, programs and projects. 

Specifically, it shall:

1.  Formulate the regional agricultural infrastructures, irrigation, mechanization, postharvest facilities and agro processing development/master plans in coordination with LGUs, NGA and other groups at the regional level;

2.  Prepare plan, design, specification and cost estimate of all agricultural engineering related program, projects and activities such as but not limited to:

I.        Small Scale Irrigation

a.  Diversion Dam

b.  Small Farm Reservoir

c.   Pressurized Irrigation System

d.   Renewable & Non-Conventional Energy

e.   Other Irrigation Facilities

II.      Agricultural Infrastructure

a.   Farm-to-Market Road

b.   Agricultural Tramline System

c.    Trading Center

d.   Storage/Warehouse

e.    Piggery Building

f.     Poultry Building

g.    Slaughter House

h.    Greenhouse

i.      Farm Structure

j.      DA Facilities

k.     Other agricultural infrastructure facilities

III.    Agri-Machinery and Postharvest

a.    Production Machineries and Equipment

b.    Postharvest Machineries & Equipment

c.     Processing Machineries & Equipment

d.    Warehouse/Storage Machineries & Equipment

3.       Coordinate with LGU, NGO, NGA and other DA attached agencies in the planning and preparation of engineering plans, programs and projects prepared by LGUs and other offices for funding purposes;

4.       Evaluate agricultural engineering plans, programs and projects prepared by LGUs and other offices for funding purposes;

5.       Conduct topographic survey relative to agricultural infrastructure programs, project and other activities; and

6.       Provide technical assistance in the implementation of Water Re-Use Act.
