About Us

Undergraduates Rady Connect is a student-led initiative dedicated to centralizing campus resources and opportunities to make it easier for students to find them. Our event calendar and resource board bring together professional development, networking, and community events, along with research opportunities, scholarships, and student job postings—all in one place. In addition, we host workshops and speaker events to further support students in building their skills, growing their networks, and advancing their careers. Our mission is to bridge the gap between students and the resources they need to thrive at UCSD.

Our History

The idea for Rady Undergraduate Connect began as a simple conversation between a student and a teacher. Both noticed a common challenge among undergraduates at UCSD - many students felt disconnected from campus life and overwhelmed by the sheer number of events happening around them. Despite the abundance of opportunities, we felt that not enough resources had been allocated to undergraduates to help them navigate campus events effectively. This lack of centralized support made it difficult for students to find a sense of community and develop essential professional skills.

To bridge this gap, we started by creating a centralized calendar to make these opportunities more accessible. As we saw how beneficial this was for students, our vision expanded. We began growing our team and taking on new initiatives to continuously provide resources that help students make the most of their time at UCSD. Today, our resources helps students easily discover and engage with professional, academic, and community-building opportunities, ensuring they have access to the resources needed to make the most of their time at UCSD.
