At Hospital Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Hospital  (HosTAR) UKM, we are deeply committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and care for both our patients and staff. As a leading healthcare institution, we understand the critical role that interventional radiology plays in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of conditions. These advanced, minimally invasive procedures offer significant benefits, but they also require a careful balance to ensure radiation exposure is minimized. 

Our aim is to ensure that all radiation workers are continuously updated to enhance their knowledge and technical skills in radiation protection, empowering them to implement proper safety practices in their own settings.

• Meet the licensing requirements of Akta 304, Perlesenan Tenaga Atom 1984.

• Equip staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to implement radiation protection protocols in interventional angiography procedures.

• Continuously update knowledge on radiation protection techniques, particularly for interventional angiography procedures.

• Raise awareness about the risks associated with radiation exposure in interventional angiography, promoting a culture of safety within the department
