December 2025: The circuit for Voltmace's Delta-Cat Joystick for vintage Acorn Archimedes computers was analysed and published on github.
December 2025: A slightly improved joystick adapter for vintage Acorn Archimedes computers is produced, allowing Atari style joysticks to be used via the parallel port. Based on a circuit by Ian Haylock and a first PCB by fozretro, this version uses through-hole capacitors and has adaptations for alternative connectors. Included is a modified joystick module that works on an A3000 upgraded to 25MHz ARM3. Available to buy in a case via the stardof forum. Being of similar size and dimensions, the case was altered to fit Monster Joysticks' Retro Joystick BBC Micro / Electron Adapter and is available on Thingiverse.
December 2025: A transceiver PCB is produced for the n-break project, an Econet WiFi gateway for vintage Acorn computers based on ESP32-C6 development boards. The PCB contains UI selectable line termination and improved firmware compatible with this PCB is available on github. Also available for purchase, via the stardot forum.
November 2025: An improved version of Simon Inns' Econet Clock for vintage Acorn computers is produced, converting from Eagle to Kicad format. Being a double-sided PCB with ground planes and having increased decoupling capacitance should result in better EMC performance. Also, using all 4 DIP switches improves the range of clock selection options.
November 2025: An Acorn Archimedes A3000 mini-podule backplate is available on thingiverse for people with 3D printers. Comes in a few options WRT accessories.
November 2025: Entering a phase of vintage computer restoraton, produced are a few tips regarding Acorn A3000 power supply capacitors and chip replacement following battery corrosion. Econet interfaces were added to both A3000 and BBC Model B.
October 2025: First version of a LM1011N replacement PCB for the Aiwa AD-6700 is announced on Tapeheads.net. Based on the CNRS-2 discrete component implementation, it follows the Dolby B encode/decode curves quite well, but by using common-emitter amplifiers, the distortion figures are not so good. Improvements are under way...
September 2025: A replacement diffuser for Shooting Chrony F1 is available on thingiverse for people with resin 3D printers. The thing includes directions for mixing suitable diffuser resin.
August 2025: The Optical FG Motor is revealed. A first draft of the installation/service manual is available.

It is compatible with the RC-100 and support for more remote controls might be added in the future. It can also be installed inside an AD-6900 Mk1. Detailed instructions are available.
February 2025: The Radiofan RC-100R remote control now supports a RC-T200 mode for the original Aiwa RC-R200. The operating mode is configured by holding two buttons while inserting the batteries. Instructions are available.
February 2025: Cassette Tape Hand Winder V3 goes live! This version takes advantage of the accuracy possible with modern resin printers and requires no metal bearings, less screws and features some back-tension during winding.
January 2025: SOT23-5 to DIP-8 opamp adaptor board is now available. This board was designed to accommodate single SOT23-5 operation amplifiers, which are low-cost and conveniently, occupy very little board space. The DIP-8 pin-out is the standard one for single opamps, with the output at pin 6. In addition, the ground plane is connected to pin 8 so that it can be connected to signal earth.
January 2025: IR-Bridge for Aiwa cassette decks with 8-pin DIN (AD-F660/770/990) etc. goes live! This device adds infra-red remote control capability to certain vintage cassette decks. It acts as an adaptor, converting infra-red remote control codes to cassette deck control signals. It plugs into the back of the deck via the 8-pin DIN socket and is functionally similar to the now very rare Aiwa RC-R200. There is an online copy of the manual and it is available for purchase on eBay.
January 2025: Case for RGB to HDMI converter (Circuit Surgery version) is posted. The RGB converter is a great project for anyone with a BBC micro, this box finishes it off nicely.
