Our Young Researchers
The RADICAL project worked in collaboration with two Children and Young People’s Advisory Groups. One formed by members of the Belfast City Youth Council and another formed by members of the 40th and 90th Belfast Scouts group.
Members of the Belfast City Youth Council were involved throughout the study between 2024 and 2026. The Belfast City Youth Council is the youth participation structure set up by Belfast City Council to act as a voice for all young people in Belfast. It is made up of between 20-30 young people, aged 13-18 (or up to 21 if they have a disability, have just left care or are a Youth Council member for two years). The young people that were involved at different points during the project are (in alphabetical order): Abhiraj, Ahmed, Aidan, Cara, Charlotte, Curtis, Demilade, Eva, Fahriye, Grace, Inioluwa, James, Louise, Matthew, Motaz, Natalie, Olivia, Paige, Rebecca, Thea-Ellis, Thomas, Tomás, Shivaani, Summer, Sushma, Vanshika, Will and Zeinab.
We could not have involved these young people without the collaboration and support of Belfast City Council staff at BCYC, Stevie Mulholland and Brian Kelly.
Members of the 40th and 90th Belfast Scout Group were also involved throughout the project between 2024 and 2026. The group is based in South Belfast and involves children and young people of a range of ages, 10 years old and over. The young people that were involved at different points during the project are (in alphabetical order): Alice, Antonios, Arnon, Cora, Edith, Eshal, Gioia, Imiani, Isabella, Jamie, Joel, John, Kristin, Liam, Maia, Nadia, Nathaniel, Noah, Patrick, Rose, Rosie, Sebastian, Tara, Toby and Zack.
We could not have involved these young people without the support and collaboration of their Scouts leaders, Aldo and Kate Moscato. Also Callum, Josh, Bronagh and Fiona.
