Purpose

Black Lives Matter Week of Action at Schools is a nation wide group of people organizing for racial justice in education. We encourage all educators, students, parents, unions, and community organizations to join our annual week of action during the first week of February each year. This week involves teachers facilitating lessons around the 13 principles and the Week of Action Demands. Many cities host actions and events outside of the school day to highlight systemic injustice and the Black joy present in our communities.
