Holidays are important days when people can relax and do things they enjoy. Many people use their days off to spend time with friends or family and travel. Unfortunately, there are many people who were not able to enjoy their holiday because they did not have enough money to pay for tickets or transportation costs to travel to the places they wanted to visit. I think "Discounted Travel Day" would be a good solution for people who really want to travel during their holidays but do not have enough budget yet.
Firstly, this holiday is when tickets and transportation costs are discounted up to 45%, including flight tickets, subway tickets, car rentals, or any transportation cost. This event is only for people who travel to different cities or countries. This is open to people over 18 years old since booking tickets or traveling to faraway places often requires identity information. Children who are under 18 can still enjoy this event, but only if they have relatives who are over 18 years old.
Secondly, this "Discounted Travel Day" will allow people who may not have enough budget to travel to still be able to enjoy their holidays since the tickets and other transportation costs are relatively lower. However, the number of tickets purchased will be limited in order to prevent overcrowding in airports and other transportation hubs, as well as possible flight cancellations.
Lastly, this holiday allows everyone to experience travel and explore new things around the world. This event will be held annually from the 15th to the 18th of December.
To conclude, I believe the "Discounted Travel Day" would be very beneficial for everyone and allow them to explore and see pleasing places around the world.
Hi! I am Rachel Yunita Silalahi. You can call me Rachel. Aside from my quiet personality, which most people are familiar with, I have another side of myself that I rarely show to others. It's not really my other side; it's just something I enjoy doing. The thing that I like to do is dance. I prefer modern dance and K-pop dance most of the time. I usually dance at home when no one is around because I am too shy to show off or dance in front of others. I'm actually quite lazy about doing daily exercises or sports. But dancing solves this problem, at least for me. Through dancing, I am also exercising my body at the same time. It refreshes me physically and mentally.

English is a bridge to many destinations. As English is one of the most spoken languages in the world, learning it is an important thing to be applied in our daily life. But that does not mean that other languages, like local languages, should be forgotten. Although they are not positioned as the world’s most spoken languages, they are no less useful than English.
English is spoken in almost all countries. It would be very useful if someone learned English and mastered it. Through English, people will go to many places, as it is very useful for communicating with each other, including people from different countries, and can also be used to learn something new. People can also benefit from learning English by teaching it to people who don’t know it well.
But, how could people teach others English without knowing how to speak it themselves? The answer would be local languages. The presence of English as the most spoken language globally, should not put local languages aside. Local languages are identities for places, cultures, and traditions in many countries worldwide. Local languages would also help people gain even more knowledge and develop engaged connections and stronger relationships with local people.
To sum up, the English language is indeed used in many countries, and its position as the world’s most-spoken language is in the top five. Whether at school, at work, with friends, family, or even strangers, English is often used. Yet, this world would not be a world without diversity, and communication would not be as effective without the presence of local languages. Despite most of them not being among the five most spoken languages in the world, they are still useful, much like how English is useful in life.
End Racism. Build peace. The chosen theme for the 2022 UN Day celebration.
United Nations Day, also known as UN Day, is an annual commemorative day, reflecting the creation of the United Nations on October 24, 1945. Hence, it is celebrated every year on October 24th, when people celebrate the ratification of the 1945 Charter of the UN and commemorate the day that 51 countries came together to promote peace throughout the world post World War II. This event is truly important because the significance of United Nations Day lies in its celebration of diversity which is useful to appreciate the diversity of cultures, religions, and all languages worldwide
Our school, Mutiara Harapan, also contributes to celebrating the UN Day event. On October 24th, 2022, this event was held at the Mutiara Harapan Junior High School building, where students and teachers actively participated. Based on the 2022 UN Day theme, "End Racism. Build Peace.", the school gathered several countries from around the world to show support for ending racism and building peace through this simple activity, which can increase the awareness of students and teachers. There were 7 in total: Europe, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, and South Africa.
All of the countries provided details, pieces of information, and interesting facts about the country itself, such as the history of the country, icons of the country, and the story behind the traditional foods and clothes too. Everyone from each country's stands actively participated. They even did cosplays to show the identities of the countries, for example by using traditional clothes. This event was held not only to let people learn and know more about the seven countries, but also to build interactions with the people or visitors who came by giving them quizzes, letting them ask about a certain country, selling traditional foods, letting the visitors try traditional clothes, and so many more. The UN Day event got even more exciting because people were allowed to show off their talents in front of everyone, like singing.
This event was excellent. It was very fun and educational at the same time. Although some visitors or students came when the event was almost finished, I think that the students who came earlier were a bit unmanageable, which made the event a little too crowded for the visitors who came later difficult to visit and move to other booths easily. Moreover, it would be much better if each country's stands were able to provide more cuisines to taste so that everyone could know what it looked like in real life.
Anyways, on this day, countries come together to spread ideas of peace and harmony among people who originate from various backgrounds, and eventually, this event can be said to be a success and it was very entertaining. It would be best if there was another opportunity for this event to be held again where we could participate more.

Some people think that teenagers should concentrate on all subjects at school. Others believe that teenagers should focus on the subject they are best at or are most interested in. To what extent do you agree?
Nowadays, the debate over whether teenagers should concentrate on all subjects at school or not is controversial between schools. Some schools, like those in the USA, make their students focus only on one subject they are majoring in. However, most schools in the country, including those in Indonesia, Singapore, and China, encourage students to study more than one subject.
Some schools agree that their students should be studying multiple subjects. People generally agree that allowing teenagers to learn more than one subject can help them manage their thoughts better and explore many topics equally. This will also help students be less bored since there are various subjects that are completely different from one another. However, some people believe that if teenagers study multiple subjects at school, it can put them under stress and cause them to become overwhelmed.
Oppositely, others refuse and think teenagers ought to focus on only one subject they are interested in. Teenagers who concentrate on only one subject at school can focus better since they have less pressure on the other subjects. Students can delve deeper into their interests or passions by focusing solely on the subject in which they excel or are most interested. It will be much easier for them to perceive the information. Consequently, they can achieve better results on their exams. Yet, some sides disagree and think that if teenagers focus only on one subject, it would limit their creativity and the range of mind exploration they could have compared to concentrating on multiple subjects.
To sum up, the fact that students will retain information and knowledge better if they focus on one subject is not wrong; however, students can and are able to retain knowledge as well if they choose the right method of learning. Moreover, learners who are at the teenage level still need to know better who they are and what their passions are. In my opinion, it is too early to let the students focus on one subject only since they are still "unripe" to make a long-term choice; in other words, there could still be an inconsistency in making decisions. Therefore, it is best for teenagers to study multiple subjects to develop their management skills and find their true passion by exploring those subjects.

Indonesia is an archipelago country. Indonesia has more than 18,000 islands. Not just that, but Indonesia also has more than 700 ethnic and racial groups. The largest group is the 41% of Javanese people who live largely on the island of Java. Others consist of Sundanese, Malay, Batak, Madurese, and Betawi people, among others. Every province in Indonesia has its own uniqueness. Differences in language, traditions, traditional clothes, food, and so on. Indonesia is a very diverse country. For example, in terms of religion and beliefs. Indonesia has six official religions. Moreover, there are still a lot of different belief systems represented in Indonesia's variety of religions. Some communities uphold rituals, ancestral ceremonies, and so much more. Though there are a lot of differences, Indonesians can still keep that unity in the middle of all the uniqueness. Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, as our motto says, unites all the differences. It prevents disunity. Indonesia must certainly protect its culture because it is so important to a nation's identity and integration.
