Rachel Pittman is a PhD student at Georgia State University, where she teaches Writing. She earned her MFA and MA at McNeese State University in 2023, where she served as Poetry Editor for the McNeese Review. She now works as an Assistant Editor at Five Points.
Her writing has appeared in multiple journals, including Whale Road Review, Fairy Tale Review, Gingerbread House Magazine, Strange Horizons, Stone Circle Review and (most recently) Lucky Jefferson. In 2020 she was honored with the John Wood award for Poetry by McNeese's MFA program. In 2022 she received the Moondancer fellowship awarded by the Writer's Colony at Dairy Hollow.
