Background. My degree in Music Education equipped me to assess the needs of learners and provide individualized, inclusive instruction to get everyone to the next level. My time as a middle school band director strengthened my ability to creatively solve problems on the spot, manage multiple tasks and deadlines at once, and to be calm and have patience under pressure. This experience also honed my ability to explain complex concepts in clear, concise ways. My background in education provided me with extensive knowledge of learning principles and theories, while my tenacity and quick learning skills aided me in teaching myself the additional skills and software needed to be successful in the corporate world.
My style. I make personal connections with learners in order to cater my instruction to fit their needs and interests. I believe that learning should be approachable and interactive so that everyone has equal opportunities to grow. I find joy in watching others grow in skill and confidence, and I especially love to help people accomplish what they didn't think was possible. I am always eager to learn new skills that make me more effective and advance my career.Â
