I am happily married, and we were blessed with one beautiful daughter named Mary Erikaceah. I am very family-oriented individual who prioritizes my family above all else and I would not trade them for anything in this world. My whole family is my tower of strength, my constant joy, and my saving grace.
I graduated in 2011, and after passing my Nursing licensure examination, I began working as a Staff Nurse at a private hospital in our province. This initial role enhanced my sense of responsibility and resilience as a Nurse. I have experienced handling patients with different health conditions, and this honed my skills and critical thinking abilities.
I also experienced working in a Home Health Care facility overseas as a General Nurse. Aside from the new knowledge and experiences regarding various procedures, the nature and setting of this job taught me to be more adaptable, flexible and patient. My latest work experience is as a Hemodialysis Nurse. I love working in this area, its a new dimension for me since I have not work in any dialysis center before. I became more empathetic and understanding about the condition of every dialysis patient. It is also in this area, where I was given the chance to be a leader.
Reflecting on my time at Seneca Polytechnic, I’m incredibly grateful for the supportive professors who played a key role in my growth. Their guidance, encouragement, and expertise not only helped me grasp complex concepts but also inspired me to become a better leader in healthcare. The campus environment, rich in cultural diversity, led to friendships I never expected, connecting me with peers from all walks of life. The nursing program equipped me with both knowledge and practical skills to be an effective nurse leader. Seneca helped me build confidence, resilience, and essential leadership qualities, laying a strong foundation for success in my career.
