How to Motivate Your Children During Distance Learning
We know that motivating your child during distance learning can be a challenge. Here are some talking points that may be helpful.
• Grades - Remind your child that they need the information for the future and to help them be successful in the next school years. The work they complete during 4th quarter can also have a positive impact on their final course grades.
• Future - Explain that organizing distance learning resources and information is great practice for juggling multiple requirements, like when you go to high school, college or have a job.
• Healthy Habits - Talk about how finishing out the school year strong helps to build a good work ethic and self-esteem.
• Connections - Reinforce the idea that saying connected to school and teachers helps us feel connected to something bigger than ourselves.
• Brain Power - Tell your child that daily learning helps keep our minds sharp and ready for the challenge.
