About the Scholarship

In recognition of the dedicated hard work, sleepless nights, sacrificed weekends and evenings (and early mornings), the long days working in her professional career at Palm Beach State College while committing countless hours to her studies, for writing tens of thousands of dollars in tuition checks, and the wonderful achievement of Rachael Bonlarron completing and graduating with her MBA from Florida Atlantic University, the Cohn and Bonlarron families through the West Palm 100 are initially setting up a scholarship in Rachael’s honor that will help fund two (2) scholarships a year to a graduating senior at a West Palm Beach public high school.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The amount of the scholarships will be $500 each.

Eligible applicants must be a Class of 2026 female graduate of a West Palm Beach public high school or  an eligible graduate enrolled in Pace Center for Girls or other foster care programs.

One award will be given to a female student graduating from a public high school in the City of West Palm Beach who will be attending Palm Beach State College and plans to pursue a degree in Education or Business.

One award will be given to a female student graduating from a public high school in the City of West Palm Beach who will be attending Florida Atlantic University and plans to pursue a degree in Education or Business.

The individual recipients receiving the award must have at a minimum a 3.0 GPA, have volunteered for at least 100 hours in the community over the course of their high school career, and plan to work to help pay for expenses while attending college (just like Rachael did while she was an undergraduate and a graduate student).

The awards are not renewable.
