Overview

Rabindra Smriti (S) Vidyaniketan (Govt. spons.) is a school of Hooghly District and is situated beside the Howrah - Burdwan Rly Line (Main) at Bhadreswar. It was set up officially on 16th Aug 1961, this school was a multipurpose school meant for grooming children from refugee families residing in the neighbourhood. 

At present it provides for pupils of both the Secondary Section (co-ed) and the Higher Secondary Section (co-ed). Higher secondary section with three streams - Science, Humanities and Commerce.

All the teachers and staff earnestly strive for an all round development of the students. The students are encouraged to attend school regularly, study and take part in the co-curricular activities like games, marchpast, exhibition, various competition, mock parliament etc.
