Raavi Aggarwal

Hello! I am an incoming Assistant Professor of Economics at Plaksha University, Mohali, India. I am currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi within the environment research centre, CECFEE. I am also a Research Fellow at the World Inequality Lab, Paris School of Economics. I hold a PhD in Economics from the Technical University, Berlin, Germany.

I co-lead the Climate Policies for Development (CPfD) Collaborative within the Environment for Development (EfD) Initiative, alongside Thomas Sterner, E. Somanathan and Jan Steckel. I am also affiliated with the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research as a Visiting Scientist.

My areas of research include carbon pricing policy design and impacts on households and firms in low- and middle-income countries, with a focus on India and Sub-Saharan Africa.
