To provide our core features and support the App's development, we require certain data and device permissions:

• Location Data (Precise Location):

  • Why we need it: We request access to your device's precise location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) solely to calculate accurate, real-time daily prayer times (Adhan) and to determine the direction of the Qibla.

  • How it is handled: Your location coordinates are processed locally on your device and sent securely to our third-party prayer time provider to retrieve schedules. We do not track your location in the background or store your location history.

• Advertising Identifiers & Usage Data:

  • To serve advertisements, third-party ad networks may collect non-personal information such as your device's IP address, device type, operating system, and a unique Advertising ID (e.g., Google Advertising ID).

• Device Settings & Preferences:

  • We store your in-app preferences (such as your choice between Hanafi or Standard Asr calculation, and Tasbih counts) locally on your device.

2. Device Permissions Requested

To enable the features of Raah-e-ali, we may request the following device permissions. You can revoke these at any time in your device settings:

• Location: Used exclusively for Prayer Times and Qibla direction.

• Storage / Photos / Media: Required only if you use the "Share to Instagram/WhatsApp" feature to save the generated image card to your device. We do not read or scan your personal photos.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party services to provide accurate data and serve advertisements. These services operate under their own privacy policies:

• AlAdhan API: Receives your geographic coordinates solely to return highly accurate prayer times and Hijri dates.

• Fitrahive Dua & Dhikr API: Used to fetch authentic Supplications (Duas) from the cloud.

• Third-Party Ad Networks (e.g., Google AdMob): Used to display advertisements within the App to help keep it free for users.

4. Advertisements and Tracking

To support the ongoing development and maintenance of Raah-e-ali, we display advertisements provided by third-party advertising partners (such as Google AdMob).

• How Ads Work: These advertising partners use device identifiers (like the Android Advertising ID), cookies, and similar technologies to collect non-personal data about your interactions with the App and other apps on your device. This allows them to serve ads that may be relevant to your interests (Personalized Advertising) and to measure the effectiveness of their ad campaigns.

• Opting Out of Personalized Ads: You have the right to opt out of personalized advertising. You can do this at any time through your Android device settings by navigating to Settings > Google > Ads and selecting "Opt out of Ads Personalization" or "Delete advertising ID."

5. Data Security & Retention

Because Raah-e-ali processes almost all core data (like your location and saved preferences) locally on your device, the risk of a server-side data breach of your personal information is virtually nonexistent.

• Retention: Your preferences remain on your device until you clear the App's data.

• Deletion: If you wish to delete all data associated with Raah-e-ali, simply uninstall the App from your device.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our App is safe for users of all ages. However, because we serve third-party advertisements, we do not knowingly collect personal data from or target personalized ads to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your region). If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
