Segments 1, 2 & 3B will be implemented through PPP mode by the Cebu Provincial Government.
The implementation of Segment 3A is being handled by DPWH Regional Office VII but is suspended due to a CDO issued by DENR-EMB7 in relation to a landslide/ ground movement affecting a certain section. DPWH RO7 is currently finalizing the plans for the immediate rehabilitation of the affected section in conformity with the agreements/dialogues with DENR EMB7 and concerned LGU’s.

Proposed Schedule : FS: December 15, 2023 – October 22, 2024
Project Objectives: Address increased traffic demand and relieve traffic congestion by constructing a coastal road linking three bridges between Mandaue City and Lapu-Lapu City; and Enhance local connectivity and promote economic development through improved mobility within the project area.
Project Status:
DPWH presented the Project Profile to KEXIM in April 18, 2023.
DPWH submitted through April 27, 2023 letter the Project Concept Paper to KEXIM.
DPWH in May 24, 2023 letter requested for the inclusion of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) to be funded under grant assistance through a letter.
Ongoing Feasibility Study (FS) under Grant which started December 15, 2023 to be completed in October 2024.
