R3 workshop
Reionisation in Relic Radiation
The 2024 R3 workshop is now over!
Reionisation in Relic Radiation
The last R3 workshop took place both remotely and in Paris on May 27-30, 2024. We will be back in 2026.
The R3 workshop, previously called the CMB+EoR workshop, is a recurring event with both an online and an in-person component. The first iteration was held online, as a special session of the SAZERAC international conference, in 2021. We have, since then, moved on to a hybrid format.
The workshops focuses on CMB tracers of cosmic reionisation, that is how we can use the relic radiation from the Big Bang, the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB), to learn about the way the first luminous objects in our Universe ionised the surrounding intergalactic medium during the Epoch of Reionisation.
We bring the community together to compare models, improve forecasts, and find ways to exploit the potential of cross-correlating CMB with other reionisation observables such as the 21 cm signal.
Experts on data analysis, statistical methods, CMB, reionisation modelling, and anyone interested in any of these topics, are welcome!
