for defense use my vote would be brimstone because he seems more dangerous to me with his big minions and high dmg including that extra core damage ( maybe combined with another fast/very fast red hitter as wing plus xandrella flank) - dont know about the recent hype with aradia on a lot of regular defs
Thanks for all the thoughtful comments and great input. I am leaning towards Aradia as she might fit better into my defense. I really like aspects of brimstone but am not a fan of heroes that give increased defense against a particular colour especially with our alliance running purple tanks. Him and Ray though would love working together so I am still sitting in the fence.

I have just maxed brimstone and am waiting for one more red aether to get both of them double lb. Both are super fun to play with. If I were to tank in wars it would probably be brimstone with his 86% defense against blue. Until Fortuna crashes that party! So as I think while typing it would probably be Aradia for tank for that health reduction burn combo
