REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! Click here to register by December 15!
Moses Brown School is thrilled to welcome you to Providence, Rhode Island for our next Quaker Youth Leadership Conference!
This year's theme is Creat(iv)e Change. We chose it as a way of highlighting the connections between art - and human creativity in general - and our never-ending work for a more just, more peaceful world. Providence, RI is a great city to explore the intersections between art, justice, and social change, and we're thrilled to get to share it with you!
What is QYLC?
The Quaker Youth Leadership Conference brings together 9th - 12th grade students from Quaker schools across the country every winter. Each participating Friends school typically sends a cohort of students and chaperones to travel to a host campus for an action-packed weekend focused on central themes of Quaker education.
The conference is aimed to provide a space for students at Quaker schools to engage in discussions, workshops, and activities that promote leadership development, community building, and spiritual growth. Participants in the Quaker Youth Leadership Conference will have the opportunity to explore Quaker values, principles, and practices, and discuss issues relevant to their lives and communities. The 2026 conference at Moses Brown School in Providence will focus on the connections between creativity, art-making, and work for social justice.
How many can come?
We invite Quaker schools around the country to send cohorts of up to six students and up to two chaperones to join us in Providence.
What is the cost?
To offset the cost of the conference, we ask for a registration fee of $100 per person, which helps us cover meals, fees, and transportation around the city. We ask that schools make their own plans for transportation to Providence and share those with us. (For many schools on the East Coast, Amtrak is a great option for "caravaning".)
How do we register?
Easy! Friends Council on Education is supporting and streamlining this process this year. Click here to register your school!
Stay tuned throughout the coming weeks to see our developing schedule. If you have any questions or concerns, please email Jen McFadden at jmcfadden@mosesbrown.org.
We can't wait to hear from you!
