Qurb respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

Qurb may collect the following information to provide and improve the app’s services:

1. Location Data (GPS): The app uses your device’s location to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction. Location data may also be used in aggregated and anonymized form to understand how and where the application is used, helping us improve the service and support marketing efforts.

2. Contact Information: Your contact information may be used to welcome you to the app, allow account login and authentication, and manage your subscription.

3. Notifications: Qurb may send notifications to remind you of upcoming prayer times. Notification preferences can be controlled in your device settings.

4. App Usage Data: We may collect information about how features within the app are used. This helps us understand which features are most valuable to users and supports the ongoing improvement of the app.
   
   This includes product analytics collected through Firebase Analytics (a Google service). When enabled in the app, Firebase Analytics may receive information such as which screens or tabs you open, which features you use (for example prayer times, Quran, Qibla, or Social), sign-in method (without storing your password), and interactions with the subscription paywall. This data is used to understand how the app is used and to improve reliability and features. It is not used to sell your personal information.

5. Prayer and Progress Data: If you use an account, Qurb may store your prayer check-ins, Quran progress, fasting and Zakat entries, and related settings so your data can sync across devices and support features such as progress charts and streaks. You can choose to avoid this, by logging in anonymously.

6. Social Data (Optional): If you choose to use Social features and sign in, Qurb may store friend connections and share today’s prayer progress with friends you accept.

7. Subscription and Purchase Information: If you subscribe to Qurb Premium, purchase and entitlement status may be processed through Apple’s App Store and our subscription provider (RevenueCat) so we can remove ads. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.

8. Advertising Data: If you use the free version of the app, Qurb may display advertisements through **Google AdMob**. AdMob may collect device and usage information needed to show ads and measure ad performance, in line with Google’s policies. Subscribers who have an active premium subscription do not see in-app banner advertisements.

In-App Analytics (Optional Display)

Qurb includes an Analytics section that shows your own prayer, Quran, fasting, and Zakat progress over time. This is separate from Firebase Analytics above. You can hide this section at any time in Settings.. Turning it off stops progress charts and related displays from appearing in the app; it does not by itself disable Firebase product analytics described in section 4.

How Your Data Is Used

Your information is used only to:

• Provide core app functionality (such as prayer time calculations, Qibla, and Quran reading)

• Manage accounts, cloud sync, and subscriptions

• Support optional Social features you choose to use

• Send optional notifications for prayer reminders

• Show advertisements to non-subscribers (via Google AdMob)

• Measure and improve the performance, features, and usability of the app (including through Firebase Analytics)

Data Protection and Sharing

Your privacy is important to us. Your data will:

• Never be sold to third parties

• Only be shared with service providers that help us operate the app (such as Google for Firebase and AdMob, Apple for purchases, and RevenueCat for subscriptions), and only for the purposes described in this policy

• Not be shared with friends beyond what you choose in Social (today’s prayer progress only)

We use industry-standard practices through our providers to protect data in transit and at rest where applicable.

Your Rights

You have control over your personal data. At any time, you may:

• Request access to the data associated with your account

• Request that your data be corrected or updatedRequest that all of your data be deleted

• Turn off in-app progress Analytics in Settings

• Control notifications and location access in your device settings

• Cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted within the app or on the relevant distribution platforms.
