The Core Truths Muslims Live By.
The Core Truths Muslims Live By.
Islam is built on six essential truths:
There is One God (Allah): Allah is the sole Creator and Sustainer of the universe, beyond comparison, and deserving of all worship.
The Existence of Angels: Angels are honorable creations of God, made from light, who never disobey Him and tirelessly carry out His commands. They have specific roles, such as delivering revelation to prophets (e.g., Angel Gabrial), glorifying God continuously, recording human deeds, taking souls at the time of death, and protecting and managing aspects of creation by God’s will.
God Has Sent Divine Books: God's revealed sacred texts, including the Torah, Psalms, Gospel, and the Quran - which is the final and preserved revelation. While previous scriptures were altered over time, the Quran remains unchanged.
God Has Sent Prophets: God sent Prophets throughout history, from Adam to Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, with Muhammad (ﷺ) as the final prophet.
The Day of Judgment Will Definitely Come: All souls will be judged by God for their actions, leading to eternal reward or punishment.
Divine Decree: Everything unfolds according to God’s wisdom and plan, yet humans have free will to choose their path.
How Do These Core Truths Shape our Daily Lives?
These core truths shape how Muslims live, inspiring trust in God, gratitude for His blessings, and accountability for their actions. Muslims strive to:
Worship God sincerely and align their lives with His guidance.
Treat others with kindness, fairness, and respect.
Reflect on the signs of God in nature, humanity, and the universe.
Muslims see life as an intricate, divinely planned creation filled with purpose. Every moment, whether joyful or challenging, is an opportunity to grow closer to God.
What Happens After This Life?
This life is only the beginning. There lies ahead an eternal Hereafter where every soul will meet its Creator. Faith and righteousness lead to peace in Paradise, while rejection of God’s guidance has its consequences and punishments. This belief gives life profound meaning and accountability, encouraging goodness even when no one else is watching.
