We do not require an account.
We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, health, or financial data.
The only thing that ever leaves your device is the shape word you type in Custom mode (e.g. "elephant"), which is sent to our AI provider so it can draw the silhouette. We do not store that word on any server we operate.
All progress, saved puzzles, and checkpoints live on your device only. One tap in Settings → Clear all data wipes everything.
If that's all you wanted to know, you can stop reading here.
2. What we do not collect
Quiver does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
Personal identifiers: name, email address, phone number, postal address, government IDs.
Device identifiers used for tracking: IDFA, advertising IDs, or any fingerprint of your device.
Location: precise or coarse location of any kind.
Sensitive personal data: health, financial, biometric, sexual orientation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, political views, trade union membership, genetic data.
Communications data: contacts, calendar, messages, call logs.
Sensor data: photos, microphone audio, camera video, motion data.
Usage analytics: we do not record screen views, button taps, session length, retention, crash logs, or performance metrics on servers we operate.
Cookies and web beacons: the app is not a web app and uses no cookies.
We also do not embed any third-party analytics, advertising, or attribution SDKs. There are no Google Analytics, Firebase, Meta Pixel, AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar tools in this app.
3. The one piece of data that does leave your device
The "Play" tab includes a Custom mode where you type the name of a shape (for example "octopus", "rocket", "guitar") and the app generates a puzzle in that silhouette. To draw the silhouette, the app sends the text you typed to our AI provider, Replicate, Inc. (https://replicate.com), over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Replicate's hosted image-generation models return a black-and-white shape, which the app turns into a puzzle on your device.
What we send to Replicate:
The text you typed in the prompt field. Nothing else.
We do not send your IP-derived identifiers, advertising IDs, device name, contacts, location, or any account information.
What we do with it:
We do not store the prompt on any server we operate.
We do not use the prompt to train any model. Replicate's processing of the prompt is governed by Replicate's own privacy policy (https://replicate.com/privacy).
If you never use Custom mode, no data leaves your device. The Levels campaign (80 hand-tuned puzzles across 8 chapters) is fully on-device and makes no network calls.
4. What stays on your device
The following information is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad and is never uploaded:
Saved puzzles: any custom-generated puzzle you completed.
Campaign progress: which campaign levels you've cleared and your star count for each.
In-progress checkpoint: if you exit the app mid-puzzle, the app saves your remaining arrows, fired order, and hearts so you can resume exactly where you left off. This save lives only on your device.
Appearance preference: light/dark/system, stored as an iOS UserDefaults value.
You can erase all of this at any time by opening Settings → Clear all data inside the app, or by deleting the app entirely.
When you delete the app, iOS removes the app's sandboxed storage along with it.
Quiver is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for children. The app:
Does not require an account.
Does not collect personal information.
Does not display advertising of any kind.
Does not contain links to social networks.
Does not include in-app purchases.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). The Custom mode prompt is the only data that leaves the device, and it is a free-text shape word — children using the app are advised by a parent or guardian not to type personal information into the prompt field.
If you believe a child has typed personal information into the prompt field and you would like us to acknowledge that we do not retain it, you can contact us at the address below.
Because we do not collect or retain personal data on our servers, most data subject rights (access, deletion, portability, restriction) do not apply in the usual sense — there is no record of you to access, delete, or move.
You can still:
Delete all locally stored data at any time via Settings → Clear all data in the app.
Uninstall the app to remove all of its data from your device.
Contact us with any privacy question (see Section 9).
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months.
EU / UK / EEA residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
The legal basis for the single processing operation we perform — sending your typed prompt to Replicate to generate the silhouette you requested — is performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): we cannot provide the Custom mode feature without sending the prompt to the AI provider you implicitly asked us to use by tapping "Generate".
You may also rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for the purpose of providing the requested feature; you can object at any time by not using Custom mode.
The Custom mode network request uses TLS / HTTPS provided by the iOS URLSession stack. Locally stored data is held inside the app's sandbox, which is protected by the iOS data-protection mechanisms tied to your device passcode.
No system is perfectly secure. If you become aware of a security issue affecting Quiver, please email us (Section 9).
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the document reflects the most recent change. Material changes that affect the way the app handles your data will also be called out in the App Store release notes for the version that introduces the change.
If you keep using the app after we publish a change, you are accepting the updated policy. If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using the app and delete it.
If you have any questions about this policy, want to report a security issue, or want to request that we acknowledge we do not retain a child's prompt, contact us at:

Tracking — Apple's definition: linking data collected from this app to data collected from other apps or websites for advertising purposes, or sharing user data with a data broker. We do not do either.
