1. Introduction Welcome to the Quit Bad Habits Tracker app. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how our application handles your information when you use our services.
By downloading and using the Quit Bad Habits Tracker app, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.
2. Data Collection and Local Storage (No Server Tracking) Quit Bad Habits Tracker is designed as an "offline-first" privacy-focused application.
Your Data Stays on Your Device: We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal identification (such as name, email, or social media accounts).
Local Database: All data you enter into the app—including the habits you are tracking, your quit dates, financial goals, and relapse history—is stored purely locally on your device's internal storage. We do not transmit, sync, or store this personal data on any external servers.
Data Deletion: If you uninstall the app or clear the app's data from your device settings, your stored data will be permanently deleted.
3. Health Data Access, Collection, and Usage Our application ("Quit Bad Habits Tracker") allows users to track behavioral habits, which may fall under the category of health-related data (Mental and behavioral health).
Data Accessed/Collected: The app collects information that you manually input, such as the names of habits you are tracking, your quit dates, financial costs associated with the habit, and relapse logs.
Data Usage: This data is used strictly within the app to provide its core functionality: displaying your progress, running the sober clock, calculating milestones, and showing money saved.
Data Storage & Sharing: All health and behavioral data is stored 100% locally on your device's internal memory. We do not upload, transmit, sync, share, or sell your health data to any external servers, third parties, or cloud services. Your health data never leaves your phone.
4. Third-Party Services and Advertising While we do not collect your personal data, we use third-party services to display advertisements within the app. These third parties may collect non-personal data (such as device type, OS version, and Advertising IDs) to serve relevant ads and analyze ad performance.
Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob as our primary ad network. AdMob may use advertising identifiers to serve personalized ads based on your interests.
To learn more about how Google uses this data, please review the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting your Android device's Settings > Google > Ads, and selecting "Opt out of Ads Personalization".
5. App Permissions The app may require certain local permissions to function correctly:
Notifications: To provide you with milestone alerts and daily reminders. This is handled entirely on your local device.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance) These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers (Note: as an offline app, we do not have servers to hold this data regardless). If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
