Summer Wind
Summer Wind
Summer Wind is the laid-back, free-spirited manager of Addy Herman and an essential member of the Quik Draw Comedy family. After following Addy from Little Rock to Omaha in search of something new, Summer took on the role of manager, but his contributions to the show don’t stop there. As the host of the Karaoke with Summer segment, he brings a unique blend of music, comedy, and (often unintentional) chaos to every episode. In this segment, Summer sings a snippet of a popular song, challenging listeners to guess it—though, with his notoriously off-key vocals, it’s rare anyone gets it right. Regardless, his charm and humor keep everyone coming back for more.
A zen Buddhist and free spirit, Summer is one of the nicest, most easygoing people you’ll meet. His calm demeanor balances out the more energetic personalities on the show, but don’t let that fool you—he’s not afraid to speak his mind. Whether offering his candid thoughts or sharing a laugh, Summer brings a refreshing honesty to everything he does.
Summer’s life experiences have always been… memorable. From cooking for presidents in Texas to running a garbage business in Chicago, he’s seen it all. But his culinary skills are, at times, a bit unconventional. Take, for instance, the time he accidentally cooked pasta with pushpins in it, or when he found a ham in a dumpster and decided to cook it up for his roommate—those are the kinds of stories that keep Quik Draw Comedy listeners laughing. Despite these unforgettable kitchen mishaps, Summer’s the type of guy who keeps things interesting and always leaves a mark (sometimes even in the pasta).
A lifelong baseball fan, Summer is always up for a good game or a great conversation. His background in so many different areas gives him a unique perspective on life, and his presence on the show is a mix of insight, fun, and good-natured humor.
