This Privacy Policy explains how Quiggley ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application ("the App").
By using Quiggley, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Data We Do Not Collect (Offline-First Approach)
Quiggley is designed as an offline-first application. This means that your most sensitive data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. Specifically:
- Event Details: Your journals, notes, event titles, and locations are stored locally on your device.
- Photos & Tickets: Any images or PDF tickets you attach to events remain strictly on your device.
- Budgets & Tags: Your financial planning and event categorization are saved locally.
Because this data is stored only on your device, we cannot see, access, share, or recover it for you.
2. Information We Collect Automatically
While your journal data is kept private on your device, we use certain third-party services to ensure the app functions correctly and to process subscriptions. These services may collect:
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers to help diagnose crashes or bugs.
- Purchase Information: We use RevenueCat to manage our "Quiggley Pro" subscriptions. When you make a purchase, RevenueCat collects anonymous purchase history and receipt data to validate your subscription. We do not have access to your credit card information, which is handled securely by Apple or Google.
3. App Permissions
To provide its core functionality, Quiggley may request the following permissions on your device:
- Notifications: To send you reminders for upcoming events.
- Photo Library / Camera: To allow you to attach images to your event journals.
- File Storage: To allow you to attach PDF tickets and to export/import backup zip files of your journal.
You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device's system settings, though some features of the App may stop working as a result.
4. Backups and Data Security
Quiggley allows you to generate encrypted backup files (ZIP format). It is solely your responsibility to store these backup files securely (e.g., in your personal iCloud, Google Drive, or local computer). We cannot recover lost data if your device is broken, lost, or if the app is uninstalled without a backup.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
