App: QuietOrbit: Focus & Sounds, version 1.0.0
Application ID: com.quietorbit.focusjournal
Publisher: Dev with Rehman

LOCAL OPERATION
QuietOrbit is an offline focus timer, ambient sound player and personal focus journal. It has no accounts, developer server, advertising, purchases or analytics. The installed app does not request Android's INTERNET permission. It does not transmit your app records, usage activity, identifiers or crash reports to the developer or to advertising, analytics or remote crash-reporting services.
INFORMATION ON YOUR DEVICE
The app stores focus intentions, categories, optional notes, session timing, pauses and interruptions, selected sound mixes, personal presets, and an active-session recovery checkpoint. It also stores daily goals, reminders, appearance, motion, sound, haptic and onboarding preferences, local record identifiers and scheduling information. These records support sessions, playback, recovery, history and reminders. They remain in Android's private app storage; the developer cannot remotely access, recover or delete them.
DEVICE ACCESS AND AUDIO
QuietOrbit does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, location or photo library. It does not record audio or import personal audio. Eight bundled ambient sound files play locally. Artwork and audio creation or licensing during development does not connect the installed app to an image-generation or audio service.
Optional reminders are scheduled locally. Android media notifications and a foreground media playback service let you control sounds and continue playback in the background. Notification content may appear on the lock screen, depending on Android settings. You can disable reminders and manage notification permissions in Android. Android may defer scheduled work. Wake, boot, foreground-service and connectivity-state permissions support local scheduling or playback; connectivity-state access does not grant Internet transport. Haptics use local device controls.
MANUAL BACKUP AND RESTORE
A backup you request creates a ZIP containing saved sessions, personal presets, settings and integrity information, but not bundled audio. You choose the destination through Android's document picker. Restore reads your selected file, validates it and shows a preview before you confirm replacement of local records. The current theme, onboarding completion and device permissions are preserved; imported reminders start disabled.
A chosen document provider may be local or cloud-backed. It can store or transmit files you deliberately give it under its own privacy terms. QuietOrbit does not automatically upload backups to a developer server and cannot control or recall copies held by other providers. Backups are not password-protected or encrypted by the app. Integrity checks detect invalid content; they do not make it confidential. Keep exported files in a trusted location. Private app data is excluded from Android automatic cloud backup and device transfer; operating-system and manufacturer behaviour is outside the app's direct control.
RETENTION AND DELETION
Saved sessions and presets can be deleted in the app. Session deletion may have a short undo period. Delete all data removes sessions, notes, presets, active-session checkpoints and reminder data while retaining theme and onboarding preferences. A confirmed restore replaces saved records with the selected backup.
Local records remain until deleted, replaced by restore, or removed by Android Clear storage or uninstall. Deletion is not a guarantee of forensic secure erasure. Exported backups and copies held by another provider must be deleted separately. The developer has no copy of your app records and cannot recover them after device loss or deletion.
SECURITY AND INDEPENDENT SERVICES
QuietOrbit uses Android private app storage and scoped access to files you choose. It has no separate database encryption or app password lock. Device security also depends on your screen lock, Android updates and control of exported files. No software can guarantee protection against every unauthorised access.
Open-source Android and Kotlin libraries support the interface, storage and local functions. Their inclusion does not mean records are sent to their authors. Licences are listed in About. Android, Google Play, Google Sites and any external providers you choose process information independently under their own terms. This policy describes QuietOrbit's app data handling; hosting this page on Google Sites does not connect the offline app to Google Sites.
YOUR CHOICES AND CONTACT
You can edit and delete records, disable reminders, manage Android permissions, export a backup and clear app storage. Because the developer does not receive your local records, an email request cannot remotely retrieve or erase them.
For privacy questions, contact alimehdisiddiqui99@gmail.com. If you email us, your address and the information you include are received through our email provider to handle your enquiry. This is separate from the offline app. Do not send a full backup or unnecessary private notes or sensitive information.
CHANGES
We will update this policy if the app's information handling changes. The date above identifies this version. Any future feature introducing new access, collection or sharing must be reflected in this policy and, where applicable, explained before use.
