How to join?
Everybody always confirm your spot(s) for each event to have enough seats and tables ready.
*Hint:*It is all freeSelf–Join our Whatsapp group , & use it to share ETA and have somebody noticing your arrival, when downstairs.
Newbies must contact host in advance for secret address & entry (plan for no doorbell and and consider that host might get busy explaining games at times, that is why there is a Whatsapp group to help out each other)
Bring some drinks & snacks or healthy sweets to share! We have already over 150 games ready for you but drinks, snacks & sweets will always be in demand and appreciated.
Advice & best practice for a good gaming experience:
Introduce yourself. It helps to know who you are and what games you might enjoy most, to match best games and tables for you. Using this platform is best, if you have some particular games in mind. You can propose, vote on, organize or just learn about more games, if you like.
Facilitate game flow: Use the wardrobe in entry area to keep seats and tables free and help to lookout for people arriving later. Serve yourself, use the fridge, kitchen to avoid trash, ask for side tables, if you need to have lunch during game play. Help others with entry, put attention how games are stored when opening game boxes and help to put them back exactly as found before opening new boxes.
Always share exact arrival time only to our Whatsapp group (not to host!) Timing is key for smooth entry & table schedule!
Prepare for entry, because there is no doorbell nor any doormen downstairs waiting for you. So If you arrive during game play, first try to get in and go up by yourself (if building door open) If not, phone calls or making some noise to get attention from any participant inside is the best way to get noticed. Do not expect immediate answer from host during game play, rather expect anyone available to throw the key from the window or coming down for you also help any other confirmed person with entry.
During game play : it is always better to clarify any concerns upfront (then abounding ongoing games). Put your phone away to stay focused, avoid game breaks, let melodice.org do the music, don t take turns too serious, we are just having fun !
finishing by mid night might be best in most occasions, you can ask before starting new games after 23h,
