Overview
Quicky is a Chrome extension that compresses images before downloading. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Data Collection
Quicky does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

• No personal information collected - We don't collect names, emails, or any identifying information

• No browsing history tracked - We don't monitor or record the websites you visit

• No images uploaded - All image compression happens locally in your browser

• No analytics or tracking - We don't use any analytics services to track your usage

Local Storage
Quicky stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's storage API:

• Your compression settings (quality level, output format, etc.)

• Compression statistics (files compressed count, space saved)

• Recent activity log (filenames and compression results)

This data never leaves your device and is only used to provide the extension's functionality.

Advertisements
Quicky displays sponsored advertisements in the extension popup to support development. Advertisement configuration is fetched from Firebase Firestore (Google's cloud database service). This connection:

• Only retrieves ad content (image URL, title, description, link)

• Does NOT send any user data to Firebase

• Does NOT use cookies or tracking pixels

• Does NOT collect any information about you

Third-Party Services

• Firebase Firestore - Used solely to retrieve advertisement configuration. No user data is sent to Firebase. See Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Permissions Explained

• downloads - Required to save compressed images to your device

• storage - Required to save your settings and statistics locally

• host_permissions (all URLs) - Required to detect and compress images on any website you visit

Data Security
All processing happens locally in your browser. No data is transmitted to external servers except for fetching ad configuration from Firebase (which sends no user data).

Children's Privacy
Quicky does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date.
