Welcome to QuickText: Messaging App ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. Our app is designed to be a secure, fast, and organized alternative for SMS/MMS messaging.
To provide our core messaging service, we require the following permissions. We only collect data that is necessary for the app to function.
We require READ_SMS, SEND_SMS, and RECEIVE_SMS permissions to function as your default SMS application.
WRITE_SMS is used only for organizing messages and updating message status within the app.
Your SMS content is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
Purpose: These are essential for the app to act as your Default SMS Handler. They allow you to send/receive texts, manage your inbox, and organize messages into categories (Personal, Transactions, OTP, Offers).
Privacy: Your message content is processed locally on your device. We do not upload your private text messages to our servers.
In compliance with modern Android standards, we use granular permissions:
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO: To allow you to attach photos, videos, or voice notes to your messages.
Storage (Legacy): For older devices, we use READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE solely for managing message attachments.
READ/WRITE_CONTACTS is used to display contact names and photos for messaging purposes.
READ_PHONE_STATE is used only to pause or adjust message notifications during active phone calls to prevent interruptions. We do not collect call logs, phone numbers, or call metadata.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To alert you of new incoming messages.
We do not share your SMS content, contacts, or personal messages with advertisers.
Advertising partners may collect limited device identifiers (such as Advertising ID) solely for ad delivery, analytics, and fraud prevention.
To keep our service free, we use third-party advertising partners. These partners collect Device IDs (such as Google Advertising ID and Meta/Facebook ID) to show relevant ads.

Note: These advertisers do not have access to your SMS messages or contact list. They only see anonymous technical identifiers for ad-serving purposes.

Consent: We use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) to ask for your permission before showing personalized ads.
Access/Deletion: You can request a copy of your data or its deletion at any time.
Opt-Out: You can opt-out of personalized ads via your Android device settings (Privacy > Ads).
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you are granted specific rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
The Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You have the right to request that we delete your personal data. Since QuickText - Messaging app processes SMS locally, you can achieve this by clearing app data or uninstalling the app. For data held by our ad partners (AdMob/Facebook), you may submit a request via our contact email.
The Right to Data Portability: You have the right to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format. You can export your SMS messages using the built-in backup features of your Android device.
The Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw your consent for personalized ads at any time through the "Privacy Settings" menu within the QuickText - Messaging app.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the following rights:
The Right to Opt-Out of the "Sale" or "Sharing" of Personal Information: We do not sell your SMS messages. However, using third-party ad networks (AdMob/Facebook) for targeted advertising is considered "sharing" under California law. You can opt-out by clicking the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the app settings or by enabling "Global Privacy Control" (GPC) on your device.
The Right to Know and Access: You have the right to request a disclosure of the categories of personal information we have collected and shared over the past 12 months.
The Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not deny you service or change your app experience if you choose to exercise your privacy rights.
App Data: You can delete messages or clear the app's database at any time from within the app settings.
QuickText Messaging App does not store personal data on its own servers.
All SMS data remains on your device and can be deleted by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
Third-party ad partners retain data according to their own privacy policies.
We use industry-standard encryption to protect any data in transit (such as ad requests) and store all sensitive message data locally on your device's secure storage.

10. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
