QuickDrop is a Chrome extension that helps users save and
quickly paste pre-written messages into web page text fields.
What data does QuickDrop collect?
QuickDrop does NOT collect, transmit, or share any personal
data. All user data stays on the user's device.
What data is stored locally?
- Saved messages (titles and body text) created by the user
- Per-site preferences (which websites QuickDrop is enabled
on)
- Floating button position preferences per website
- Message usage statistics (for frequently-used tags feature)
All of the above is stored locally on the user's device using
Chrome's storage API and is never sent to any external
server.
Google Sign-in and Cloud Sync (Optional)
Users may optionally sign in with their Google account to
sync messages to Google Drive. When this feature is used:
- Messages are stored in Google Drive's private app data
folder, accessible only by QuickDrop
- The user's email address is retrieved solely to display it
in the extension interface
- No data is shared with third parties
- Users can sign out and delete synced data at any time
Google Drive API usage complies with the Google API Services
User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Third-party services
QuickDrop does not use any analytics, tracking, advertising,
or third-party data services.
Permissions
QuickDrop requests browser permissions solely to provide its
core functionality (saving messages and pasting them into
text fields). No permissions are used to collect browsing
history or personal information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy is updated, the changes will be reflected on
this page with an updated date.
