Welcome to Quick Settings. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our application. By using Quick Settings, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Quick Settings uses Android permissions and system capabilities to provide controls such as Screen Recording, Wi-Fi, Mobile Data, Location, Mobile Hotspot, Airplane Mode, Power Saving Mode, QR Code scanning, Flashlight, and other device controls.
When a permission is required, the app provides information about why it is needed. You can grant or deny the permission.
Examples include:
android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO: Used by the Screen Recording control when audio recording is enabled.
android.permission.CAMERA: Used by features such as QR Code scanning and Flashlight where camera access is required.
android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE: Used when required for supported connectivity-related controls.
Quick Settings uses the Android AccessibilityService API to perform specific device-control actions that cannot otherwise be performed directly by a regular Android application.
Quick Settings is not an accessibility tool designed for users with disabilities.
The Accessibility Service may be used for features including:
Turn Location on or off
Turn Mobile Hotspot on or off
Turn Airplane Mode on or off
Turn Power Saving Mode on or off
Lock the screen or open the power menu
Take a screenshot
Go to the Home screen
Open Recent Apps
Perform the Back action
Open the notification panel
Open Quick Settings
Automatically lock the screen after a configured period
For supported controls, the Accessibility Service may access system interface elements such as buttons, switches, labels, and the UI hierarchy required to locate and operate the requested system control.
Accessibility actions are performed only when required for a feature requested or configured by the user. For example, when you tap the Mobile Hotspot control, the Accessibility Service may locate and operate the corresponding system control to perform the requested action.
Quick Settings does not use Accessibility Service to collect, record, monitor, or analyze the content of other applications.
Information accessed through Accessibility Service for these operations is processed locally on your device and is not stored, transmitted to our servers, or shared with third parties.
You can disable Accessibility access at any time from:
Settings > Accessibility > Installed apps > Quick Settings
