Edit: Apparently it was not connected to the Notes app, but rather a separate "memo" thing with the OnePlus Shelf. Well I found the shelf, but there's no memos there. Can't even see a way to make a new one.

Edit 2: The old shelf app is gone and there's a new one. You can find the old one in the Play Store under "OnePlus Shelf". Can't seem to install it on my phone at the moment, but someone from the OP forums said that worked to re-add the old style shelf. Not sure if it will save my missing memos or not tho.

Fairly often when I unlock my phone with my pin it opens to Quickmemo+. I never use Quickmemo+ so I can't figure out why my phone is opening this app on its own. Quickmemo+ appears to be a provided app that I can't uninstall.

OH MY GOD THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Same thing happened to me. Quick memo all of a sudden is right there soon as i enter my pin EVERYTIME! I found zero help until your post here, Once again thank you so much! I hope you hit the lotto and get rich! Great job!!!

Do internet searches for "Quickmemo+ forums" and "Quickmemo+ sync" (without the quotes) - you may be able to find something useful. I found a couple of links you may want to look at here -

It seems like Obsidian isn't a great tool for capturing quick notesThe Totally Unnecessary Way To Write Quick Notes in ObsidianWriting Quick Notes in ObsidianWhen using Obsidian I know that having more connections is better. So I often take it upon myself to use Obsidian for everything. Thanks to the plugin system provided by Obsidian, it personalizes the way I use Obsidian and allowed me to do many things that would otherwise be impractical (e.g. getting my TODOs from Todoist). But even with this customizability, sometimes Obsidian just isn't the right tool for the job. One example is writing quick notes into Obsidia. In addition, people also seem to be divided on their solution to putting notes into Obsidian. Some people directly put things into Obsidian, some use automation workflows (e.g. Tasker, iOS shortcuts), and others use a third-party app and sync to Obsidian with a script / syncing service (e.g. Syncthing).

The key challenge that most of these suggestions fail to resolve is using and rendering Markdown in the pop-up quick note UX. (Although I, too, applaud the use of Alfred for quick appending things to a given note!)

So, this is a really really fast and lightweight mode to quickly write down any spontaneous thought, have it saved in your obsidian vault and postponing any editing stuff (which would distract you from what you are doing at the moment) to any later point in time.

With Quick Memo, you can start the app from the notification bar or with a long press of the search key. One of the most useful features is the ability to write a memo on the screen you are currently viewing. You can choose between a white or yellow background, and even use the capture function of your mobile phone to take screenshots when the background is transparent.

Overall, Quick Memo is a great app for anyone who needs to quickly jot down notes or ideas. It's easy to use and offers a range of customization options that make it a great choice for anyone looking for a simple note-taking app.

Need a way to quickly take memo in your life, like to-do list, and quickly see it?

ASUS QuickMemo provides solution for you. You can write down to-do list, and pin the memo to your home screen, so you can see it anytime.

1. Pin the memo: You can always pin one memo to the home screen so you can see it anytime, and open quick memo by tapping on the pinned memo anytime.

2.Input methods: You can either use handwriting, or text input with keyboard to take memo in the way you like.

3. Share: You can share memo with your family or friends.

Everyone loves the voice note feature in WhatsApp, since its, Quick and its your own voice not voice -to-type which never comes out what you want to say, why not an option on the phone to quickly respond to a comment with a voice note? I know we have this Sending a voice audio in the comments section (browser and Desktop) - #31 by Ankur2 but it looks like its for the web vision, its more important for mobile

Along with other nifty software features like Slide Aside and QSlide, LG has included an app called Quick Memo on the G2 that makes it simple to annotate screenshots and write notes with just one tap. You can access Quick Memo simply from the notification bar quick settings menu, where by default it is in the leftmost position. Tap it and you'll be taken to a simple interface that lets you write on the screen with a variety of drawing tools.

By default Quick Memo takes a screenshot of whatever app or home screen you were on when launching it and lets you draw on top of it, but you can also toggle over to a plain old notepad if you'd prefer. You can select between four different pen tip styles or a snipping tool as well as 16 different colors for the pens. Of course you don't have access to a stylus for precise input like you would on a Galaxy Note 3, but for quick jots your finger does just fine.

Once you've drawn your next masterpiece or circled an interesting portion of a web page, you can instantly share the image out to any app in your sharing menu that can handle pictures. You can also choose to save the note to your Notebook app or into your Gallery for use later. Quick Memo is a simple tool that will be useful for those who think and remember things visually, and can easily be hidden for those who don't. If your S Pen isn't stored in your device, or it's already out, press and hold the S Pen button, and then tap the phone's screen while it is off. The Screen off memo will activate.

This has become a lot more simple as smartphones have become a common device for use by business as well as general consumers. While note-taking apps are one of the simplest of the best business apps available it is often one of the most essential, especially when it comes to quickly putting down new ideas, inspirations, or general reminders before you forget.

Then from my old LG phone, I tried to share the memo, but the format is .lqm. When I force them to open with ColorNote or WPS Office, it broke, and only random symbols and jumbled words remained. The share option didn't have a share as picture/PDF/text, just share as .lqm.

You can leave a note as soon as quickly having the application always on top.

You also can write it with just your hand easily.

*Feature

- Start app from notification bar

- Write a memo on the screen you see right now

- Double tap the pen to set the pen

- Double tap an eraser to set the eraser

- Save the memo and share it with your friends

Another solution for PRO users is to use the Braintoss app (on ios and android) to email to Dynalist. This is one of the few apps recommended by David Allen, and it includes voice recognition. A little simpler than messing with the API.

The QuickMemo app allows you to take a screenshot of your phone screen or import an image and add notes, drawings, or memos to the image. When you are finished marking up the image you can save it in the LQM format. This is a convenient feature, however, the LQM format is not widely supported. You can also choose to export the note as a .JPG image or .PDF file, which are more widely supported.

If you receive an LQM file and don't have an LG phone or other software to open the file, you can use a Zip utility, such as 7zip or WinZip, to extract the contents of the file since it is Zip-compressed. Among the contents there is a memoinfo.jlqm file, which contains the text of the note. You may have to rename the file to use the .ZIP extension before you can extract its contents.
