Performer Bios

Aimee Herman (they/them) is the author of the novel, "Everything Grows" (Three Rooms Press) and two full length books of poems, "meant to wake up feeling" (great weather for MEDIA) and "to go without blinking" (BlazeVOX books), in addition to being widely published in journals and anthologies including BOMB, cream city review, and Troubling the Line: Trans and Genderqueer Poetry and Poetics (Nightboat Books).  Aimee is a queer writer and educator and a founding member in the poetry band, Hydrogen Junkbox. 

Billie Jo Gillispie (she/her) is an out and proud Marine veteran based in Boulder, CO, who has been bringing high energy and a unique perspective to the stage since 2011. Her hilarity has kept the crowds laughing at the adventures of farm life, the challenges of military service, and veteran life as a woman. Her festival appearances include: P3 Comedy fest '22, North Carolina Comedy Fest '22, was in the top 101 of the 2020 World Series of Comedy, as well as performing at the NYC Underground Comedy Festival. She's opened for comedic all-stars such as Shane Torres, Myq Kaplan, Ben Roy, and Rory Scovel.

Doc Martin (he/him)  is an enigma. Part 18th century Scottish Jacobite, 1950s beatnik poet, and 2020s all-around eccentric, this bohemian time traveler is the guy you didn’t know you needed. He’s sweet, he’s loyal, and if you get too close, you’ll stick. To get charged up, this granddad of one and dad of at least two swears by the fresh air at the top of a mountain and at least 3 cups of coffee a day. He believes in leaving the world more beautiful than when you found it, which is why he copiously paints nudes. Doc Martin is a veteran of the Exposed stage, but if this is your first time, you’ll recognize him as the curiously handsome Edward Norton-type in a kilt with a feather in his cap.
