If you want a heavy-duty, permanent solution for your Ram 2500 or 3500 puck system, choose Queencar 60638; if you need a versatile, space-saving hitch that folds away for everyday driving on older half-ton trucks, choose Liugergod Folding Ball Gooseneck.
• Liugergod Folding Ball Gooseneck: Its biggest strength is the folding mechanism that clears the bed floor when not in use, making it ideal for owners who tow occasionally; its trade-off is that it fits older half-ton platforms rather than modern heavy-duty pucks.
• Who it's for: Buy the Queencar if you own a 2013–2026 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 and need maximum capacity; buy the Liugergod if you drive an older Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado 1500, or similar half-ton and value bed utility.
This kit is engineered for a very specific type of driver: the owner of a modern heavy-duty Dodge Ram who needs to move serious loads without compromising their factory setup. The Queencar 60638 is not a universal adapter; it is a precision-fit component built exclusively for the puck system found in 2013 through 2026 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 models. If your truck has these factory mounting points, this kit integrates directly into them, utilizing the original equipment ball system as a foundation. It is a purpose-built tool for those who treat their truck as a workhorse capable of hauling fifth-wheel trailers, large horse haulers, or commercial equipment.
The core appeal here lies in the sheer robustness of the materials and the ratings. This unit features a forged alloy steel gooseneck ball with a chrome-plated finish, which suggests durability against the elements and heavy friction. These numbers are not marketing fluff; they indicate a design philosophy focused on absolute safety and structural integrity under extreme stress. For ATV owners who frequently transport multiple ATVs, side-by-sides, or large cargo trailers over long distances, this level of capacity provides peace of mind that lesser kits simply cannot match.
However, this product is not for everyone. It demands a commitment to permanence. Once installed, the ball stays up. You do not have the option to fold it down to clear the bed floor for carrying lumber, motorcycles, or camping gear. Furthermore, the compatibility is narrow. If you drive a Ford, a Chevy, or a Ram 1500, this kit will not fit your vehicle's puck system or mounting holes. Even within the Ram ecosystem, the manufacturer explicitly notes that the truck bed should be at least six feet long to accommodate the setup safely. If you need a truck that doubles as a daily hauler for diverse cargo, or if you drive a lighter-duty vehicle, this heavy-duty, fixed-mount solution is likely too specialized and restrictive for your needs.

The Liugergod Folding Ball Gooseneck targets a different demographic entirely: the owner of an older pickup truck who values versatility above raw towing capacity. Designed for vehicles like the Ford F-150 (1980-2012), Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (2000-2019), Dodge Ram 1500 (1994-2008), and GMC Sierra 1500 (2000-2018), this hitch solves a common problem for half-ton owners. Many drivers with these trucks want the ability to tow a gooseneck trailer but refuse to sacrifice the utility of their open bed during the week. The folding ball feature is the hero here; when you aren't towing, you can fold the ball down flush with the mounting plate. This action frees up the entire surface area of the truck bed, allowing you to carry tools, firewood, or recreational gear without obstruction.
The installation philosophy for this unit emphasizes flexibility and verification. Because it mounts over the bed rather than relying on a specific factory puck system, it requires careful attention to the exact configuration of your truck. The product documentation stresses verifying the mounting-kit compatibility and ensuring the trailer coupler matches the hitch before installation. This approach suggests a design intended for DIY enthusiasts who are comfortable checking their specific vehicle details. It is a practical choice for weekend warriors or small business owners who need to tow occasionally but spend most of their time using the truck for standard hauling tasks.
There are trade-offs to consider with this model. The primary limitation is the platform compatibility; it does not fit the modern heavy-duty puck systems found in newer Rams or Super Duty trucks. Additionally, because it is an over-bed mounting design for half-ton trucks, the user must be mindful of the rated capacity. While the folding mechanism offers great convenience, it adds a mechanical pivot point that requires maintenance and inspection compared to a solid, fixed mount. For ATV owners with older trucks, this is a fantastic way to add towing capability without permanently altering the bed layout, but it lacks the industrial-grade heft of the Queencar alternative.

• Best for Durability Under Load → Queencar 60638 utilizes forged alloy steel and cast steel anchors rated for extreme vertical and gross weights.
• Best for Versatility → Liugergod Folding Ball Gooseneck adapts to various older truck configurations and changes shape based on whether you are towing or hauling cargo.
• Best for Permanent Installation → Queencar 60638 locks securely into the puck system for a stable connection that never shifts.
• Best for DIY Verification → Liugergod Folding Ball Gooseneck places the responsibility on the user to verify exact truck configurations, offering a customizable fit for unique setups.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would personally choose the Queencar 60638 if I owned a 2013–2026 Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500. The reasoning is straightforward: when you invest in a heavy-duty truck, you expect it to handle heavy loads reliably. The trade-off of a permanent installation is worth it for the sheer peace of mind and capacity. However, if my truck were an older half-ton model, I would immediately switch to the Liugergod, as the folding feature is indispensable for maintaining a usable bed in a lighter-duty vehicle. Ultimately, the right choice depends entirely on whether your priority is raw power or bed versatility.
No, the Queencar 60638 is designed exclusively for the factory puck system found in 2013–2026 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 models and will not fit Ford or Chevrolet trucks.
Yes, the Liugergod unit is designed to lock the ball in the upright position for towing, but it can be folded down flat when the truck is not pulling a trailer to save space.
The Queencar 60638 uses forged alloy steel with a chrome-plated finish and cast steel anchors, whereas the Liugergod focuses on an over-bed mounting design suitable for various older truck platforms.
According to the design specs, installation requires basic tools to clean the truck bed, align the ball with the puck system, secure the locking mechanism, and tighten bolts to torque specifications.
