I do not replace technical terms with simpler ones. That approach loses precision and frustrates engineers. Instead, I keep the exact terminology and add layered explanations directly after each concept so a reader who knows the term skips forward and a reader who does not can follow the same document without losing the thread.
I research before I write. For every technical content project I take on, I read the existing documentation, study the product, and ask detailed questions before producing a single word. The accuracy of the final content depends entirely on the quality of the research that precedes it.
I understand the difference between writing for developers and writing about developers. Documentation written for engineers has different structural logic than content written to help a founder explain their developer tool to a board. I write both and I know which one you need.
